The News-Herald – Cardinal Credit Union to co-sponsor pro sports team summit in San Francisco
Mentor-based Cardinal Credit Union will sponsor a three-day executive summit from March 19 through March 21 at the VISA Innovation Center in San Francisco.
Co-sponsored by Velera, Northwest Federal Credit Union, ENT Credit Union, News 5 Cleveland and Allied Solutions, the conference will explore how partnering with professional sports teams can help enable the credit union mission of “People Helping People”.
According to a news release, nine sessions are planned over the course of the event with leading experts to discuss and unpack professional sports team partnerships and their impact on the work that credit unions bring to their communities, especially opportunities for members to learn and grow their financial knowledge and assets.
CCU, the official credit union of the Cleveland Browns and a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative serving the community through high-performance banking products and services, believes given their non-profit status, credit unions can offer constituents attractive loan rates, high savings rates and low fees.
According to the release, the conference sessions will take a deep dive into the strategic alliance between brands and professional sports teams and players, while focusing on how to effectively utilize their influence to enhance brand identity through endorsements that resonate with target audiences to create authentic connections and drive brand loyalty.
Credit unions will also learn how to market and publicize these opportunities to expand their member base and deepen member loyalty along with understanding how to create products that drive consumer activation and engagement.
Along with the in-depth sessions, the conference will offer opportunities for networking with professional athletes and their agencies.
“Credit unions serve to connect with their communities and to provide an essential financial foundation and educational resources that enable individuals and small businesses to thrive,” Cardinal Credit Union CEO Christine Blake said. “We also are focused on supporting the underserved members of our community and helping credit unions across the United States to understand how partnering with professional sports team can build an essential bridge to reach their key stakeholders.
“The mission of credit unions is centered on delivering personalized attention and focus on the individual to achieve their financial goals.”
